At 26 years old Malinga Amarasinghe has established himself as the go to all rounder for the Pandura 1st class side, Malinga is a classy top order bat averaging 32 in 1st class cricket he is a typical left hander a silky strokemaker with a wide range of shots. He has a high score of 117 and two other centuries to his name in only 17 games so far, with the ball he is a pacey seam bowler with good movement in the air and off the seam he is currently busy establishing himself on the front line of the attack but is making strong progress and averages 22 per wicket in the short formats. Malinga came to the UK in 2019 to play for Caldy C.C. in the Powerful Liverpool competition 1st division and he had a terrific season scoring 1012 runs at the brilliant average of 77 with 3 centuries and 7 50s and a high score of 134 not out and taking 30 wickets from only 100 overs bowled at the average of 15,95 each.In 2024 Malinga travelled to Northern Ireland to play for Glendermott C.C. and despite a desperately wet season he still managed to rack up over 400 runs averaging 30 and take 30 wickets at 18 each in a league that only plays 14 league games and allows only 10 overs per game. Malinga is keen to come back to the UK in 2025 and represents a fantastic option at a very good price.
