Nasir Nawaz – Pakistan

Nasir Nawaz has already packed a lot into his relatively short career so far, He made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2017 Pakistan Cup on 19 April 2017. Prior to his List A debut, he was named as captain of Pakistan’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Asia Cup. He made his Twenty20 debut for Rawalpindi in the 2017–18 National T20 Cup on 12 November 2017.He made his first-class debut on 20 November 2020, for Northern, in the 2020–21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. In January 2021, he was named in Northern’s squad for the 2020–21 Pakistan Cup. In February 2022, he was drafted by Islamabad United for the remainder of the 2022 Pakistan Super League, as a replacement for Alex Hales no less. Nasir is a batting all rounder a powerful top order striker of the ball with a wide range of shots and a lively fast medium pace bowler. In 2022 Nasir came over to the UK to play for Leyland C.C. in the Northern Premier Cricket League and for his 1st season in the UK he recorded outstanding stats with 857 runs at an average a shade under 40 with a high score of 165* He laso played 4 games as a substitute professional in the Lancashire League scoring another 220 runs averaging 70 !! With the ball Nasirs bowling is developing fast he runs in and gets it through at a lively pace and puts everything into it, he took 22 wickets for Leyland but from only 107 overs bowled and by the end of the season he had really adapted to the UK Conditions. Nasir is rated by many in Pakistan to be a future star and potentially an international player given his profile of captaining the U19 National side. Now keen to return in 2023 he will be a very good choice
