Sandun Mendis was a schoolboy star attending the Famous Richmond College he mopped up all the major awards throughout a sparkling college career, he is a spin bowling all rounder a skilful right arm off spinner who uses flight and variation aligned with considerable turn, this has enabled him to average 19.88 in the 50 over format and 21.06 in the T20 Games he has played. He has also been very effective at 1st class level with his average standing at a very respectable 30 per wicket. With the bat Sandun is also well capable he averages over 20 in 1st class cricket with a high score of 52 and from his batting slot of number 8 this is a very good effort indeed.
