Lasith Lakshan – Sri Lanka

Lasith Lakshan is now established as one of the top domestic talents in Sri Lanka. He has over 3,000 runs and in excess of 100 wickets averaging 24 each, hes a genuine allrounder. He plays his 1s class cricket for Chilaw Marians C.C In the top tier of the Sri Lankan domestic competition. He came over to the UK  a few years back as a youngster and whilst he showed flashes of what he was capable of he had an average season mainly due to the wet summer and his own inexperience. Undettered he returned home worked on his game scored solidly and continued to take plenty of wickets. He signed for Rockingham Colliery C.C. in the South Yorkshire League in 2024 and he repaid their faith and some by smashing 1200 runs at an average of 59.87 with a high score of 206 not out made against Houghton Main C.C. His innings came from just 139 balls and consisted of 27 4s and 7 6s. In addition to his fantastic batting he took 64 wickets at just 15 each in what was a superb season. No shock then that te club have moved quickly to re-sign him for 2025
