Suminda Lakshan is a genuine allrounder, a lovely top order strokemaker with a 1st class batting average a shade under 34 with 5 centuries and 10 scores in excess of 50 to his name and a high score of 221 which came against the Police Sports club in 2019. With the ball Suminda has over 200 wickets across the 3 formats at a combined average of 26 with his excellent leg spin, showing his all round ability. Suminda has played the Lankan Premier League for The Galle Gladiators and The Jaffna Kings and has also been capped internationally with several appearances for Sri Lankas A Team. Suminda was signed to come to the UK in 2020 but Covid put paid to that and this is the first time he has a clear summer to come to the UK since then. Make no mistake he’s a top player and would be a fantastic signing.
